The San Diego 250 is a celebration marking 2019 as the 250th year of the founding of San Diego. San Diego is ‘Where California Began’ as it is the first city founded in all of California, dating back to July 16, 1769. The San Diego 250 is a year long celebration with many events highlighting our history, our culture, and celebrating our past and our present, with an eye to our future. The celebrations culminate with events at the Wonderfront Festival, including free community stages along the waterfront with live music and entertainers, activations, and more.
